Laura Lorenzo International Relations and European Desk Coordinator for International Year of Family Farming +10 of WRF visits to Hungary second time as we already could hosted them on March 4, 2014.She would like to meet Hungarian farmers, civil organisation working for family farmers, small farmers.
Meeting shall be held on November 17, between 15:30-17:00 at Main Auditorium of Budapest Business School, College of Commerce, Catering and Tourism (Budapest, Vth district, Alkotmány utca, 9-11.).
Meeting accommodates to enter into an international network, to obtain valuable information for those who are interested in family farming matters.

International Year of Family Farming 2014 was initiated by World Rural Forum (WRF) and 2014 was officially devoted to the matter of family farming by FAO. WRF undertook to organise internationally civil society dealing with family farmers, family farming. We also joined this movement in 2014 by establishing our Hungarian National Committee and participating actively in its works by the coordination of Dr Agnes Major (Kislépték Association). MORE

As a result of the works a remarkable international network was created and we have very good working connection with several other national committees and also with WRF. This MAP  shows the national committees.

Program of the meeting:
Introducing the HUNGARIAN  Global Guideline of the Family Farming, part of the IYFF +10 Global Guideline; MORE
Consultation, exchange of experiences, building connections (materials in English might be useful).
We are expecting 20 participants.
We would like to take the opportunity if the Hungarian National Committee establishes the thematic theme groups with coordinator. So then everyone has an opportunity to participate in the work of the international network.

Small farmers, local markets;
GMO;
Land issues;
Energy;
Water;
Artisan products;
Biodiversity, seeds;
Bio;
Community social economy;
